Frisian waste processor Omrin recently expressed its wish at Spelt Heerenveen to have the collections transported to Spelt via EBA message exchange from now on. In this way, a number of regularly recurring administrative actions can be made redundant for both Omrin and Spelt. After a short test period, this is now being used satisfactorily in practice.
What does this mean in concrete terms? Omrin and Spelt use different software systems that both support the EBA standard. This makes a number of things possible. For example, an order from Omrin with a processing location of Spelt as its destination is immediately visible for that location, as soon as the order has been activated (the pre-registration). An Omrin driver can activate such an order before he or she starts the journey, after which the order immediately appears at the correct location of Spelt on the weighing screen. After weighing at Spelt, an EBA message is immediately and automatically sent back to Omrin with the relevant weighing information (the weighing confirmation).
The EBA standard is in full development. For example, it is not yet possible to send any deviations from the received waste stream by means of photos with the weighing confirmation. Rubosoft WMS overcomes this by sending this information to the relevant customer via an automatic e-mail after order processing.
